I can’t believe I never wrote about Fiji. This was in early 2010 when I had the wonderful opportunity to try Virgin Australia’s (then) new Sydney to Nadi route.

Nadi Airport on arrival. It reminds me of Iloilo airport in the Philippines. But definitely not crowded. Getting the bags was a breeze.

The main street of Nadi where most shops are. This was when I found out there’s a very huge Indian population in Fiji. Both former colonies of Great Britain, so I’m guessing the Indians (now Fijian-Indians) have been there for a long time now.

After driving through the main street, we passed by what seemed like endless miles of grassy area on semi-paved roads

After about 40 minutes…
We arrived and were welcomed by catchy beats to an instrument that I sadly do not know the name of. My first impression of Fijian hospitality- warm and enthusiastic!

Love the flowers in both your hair 😉 What a lovely place!
Thank you Dana! Oh this was quite a long time ago, it really was a lovely place time for a re-visit soon!
Thanks Dana, the spa treatment there remains one of the best I’ve had 🙂
