The Grand Central Terminal, or more colloquially known as The Grand Central Station of New York City.
One of the most beautiful , functional places of interest in New York (and in America, in my opinion).
It’s also celebrating it’s 100th year this coming 2nd of February! I wonder what events they will hold on that day. More flash mob dances perhaps?
I just love the grandiose of this terminal. It’s beautiful, yet it’s not just a pretty face because it connects people to where they need to go. Beauty and function, like I said. Not many places are like that around the world! (Say, the Statue of Liberty or the Eiffel Tower, while beautiful and symbolic are not really of any necessary use in day-to-day life). This is why I love steel bridges. They are fascinating to look at, and at the same time essential in connecting you to another place!
