I’m not much of a romantic but because it’s Valentine’s Day, I thought I’d list the 2 most romantic places I’d been to. It took me a while to choose because I always seek adventure and therefore see them in places when I travel. Hence I miss seeing the “romance” when it’s right under my nose.
Number 2 on my list. I’m reluctant to put this place down as “romantic” because that’s what everyone thinks of it, and honestly there is so so so much more to this place than just the romance and being tagged as a honeymoon destination.
# 2 BORA-BORA, French Polynesia

Pristine turquoise waters, no crowds, overwater bungalows, amazing marine life..this is nature at it’s finest. I’d go back to Bora-Bora for the water alone, even without the luxury hotels.
It’s one of the top romantic destinations in the world. 99% of the tourists are couples.
Number 1 on my list. I’m sure there’s still a more romantic spot in the world, or somewhere else in the Philippines, but this so far tops my list (of 2 places anyway LOL)
# 1 ISLA NABUROT, Guimaras Island, the Philippines

the most tiny hidden island in the south of the Philippines. No luxury hotels in here. There’s only 1 place to stay and it’s the most rustic hill top cottage. Some may call it primitive–if you need to shower, you need to tell the island keeper and h/she will pump water for you. It’s rustic, very natural, and absolutely no other tourists at all. Not even locals. I hope it remains this way.
I find this romantic because it’s all natural. Nothing artificial. Just as love should be!
