Since 1971, Hard Rock Hotels and Casinos have been turning the groove up a little in the hospitality industry. Their philosophy is simple: Rock and Roll makes people feel great.
The party never ends, and no one has to go home. This is the inspiration behind Hard Rock Hotels around the world.

The Hard Rock Hotel in Batu Ferringhi (beach strip) of Penang, Malaysia is no exception and I found that it encourages families to have a rock and rollin’ vacation.
This hotel is probably the coolest family and kid friendly hotel I’ve ever seen. While most luxury resorts make you feel like wanting to be a honeymooner, well this hotel resort certainly made me wish I was 13 years old again.
The most requested room of the hotel (and best feature of it, in my opinion) is the Lil’ Rock Suite. This is a suite for families that has a separate section / room for the kids:

The kids area has everything they’ve got to make them feel at home. I don’t have kids but I do hear of horror tales of parents taking their kids on a grand vacation only for the kids to be grumpy and counting down the days till they go home. I can’t imagine any kid not enjoying this type of room!
Kids definitely rule in this resort. They even have a Kids’ Spa! (though I’m not really liking the idea of encouraging kids to such frivolous indulgence. In my humble opinion, they should be splashing at pools, not having their tiny nails done and feet scrubbed!)

And for the bigger kids (that includes me!), the direct pool access rooms will surely give you that rock and roll royalty feeling of having the pool at your beck and call:

The pool has got to be the best-selling feature of the hotel. It runs all around the property hence it is named a ‘lagoon’
So if you’re not a kid ,or not travelling with one (or two or ten), the Sea and Hill view Deluxe rooms are not a bad choice at all either:
Hard Rock Hotel Penang makes it hard for you to leave the resort. Despite the sorry looking beach it has, there’s loads and loads of things to do.

You also need not venture out to eat as the hotel boasts of a number of restaurants, the Hard Rock Cafe being one of them (of course)
And hold on, just before you think kids ruled enough of this resort, they also have a Teen Club:

This hotel is ridiculously kid/pre-teen friendly that if I were to be a parent, I’d be tempted to check my kids in at the Hard Rock Hotel, and check myself in at a quieter resort! See you in a week, kids! Don’t forget to pay the bill when you check out!
In a nutshell:
Hard Rock Hotel Penang is for – families, families with young children, families with not-so-young children, group of friends, family reunions
Hard Rock Hotel Penang is NOT FOR – honeymooners (unless they want to foresee life in 5 years time), couples, business travellers, solo travellers, travellers who want peace and serenity, travellers allergic to kids
