Hello December!! How’s everyone been? I’m so happy we all made it this far. That in itself is a feat worth celebrating, so I’ve got a sweet treat for you.
The sun’s out and since we can’t travel internationally yet, it’s a great time to explore the whole of Australia by land.
It’s been said that sometimes, all you need is a good travel companion/s and a tank full of gas, and I absolutely agree!
To get the spirit of exploration and road trip going, I teamed up with Navman for an amazing giveaway. (read on for entry details)
I’m giving away one of Navman’s latest GPS products that’s built for Australian and New Zealand conditions, the all-new MiCam Explore. (RRP AU$499.00)

My very first GPS was a Navman as well from more than a decade ago, and I’m so impressed to see how far their GPS have come now. I mean, this one also works as a dashcam with Full 1080P recording.
I know that most smart phones now can also function as a GPS but personally, I’d still rather use a separate GPS especially for long drives and road trips. I’d rather save my phone battery plus I use it also to make calls and browse when I’m not driving. It’s really so much easier when you have a separate GPS.
The Navman MiCam Explore

The MiCam Explore combines functionality of dash cam with navigation and phone and it is perfect for people wanting to discover new places – whether cities, deserted beaches, outback and off-road. It is packed with guidance, information and features to keep people safe, and it has been especially built for drivers of SUVs with 4WD maps, and routing for larger vehicles like motorhomes and those towing caravans, boats and trailers.
One device: declutter the dashboard
It has a large 7” ‘pinch and zoom’ screen but its smooth and sleek design means it fits neatly on the windscreen with a new magnetic mount that snaps into place, without cluttering the view. This MiCam Explore is a dash cam plus a GPS but because it has been built on an Android platform, it offers much more than a conventional dash cam, GPS or dual product and more flexibility in how it is used. Drivers have the choice of what they see on the screen with clear one touch buttons to move from one function to another without toggling from the main menu.
Caught on camera

The MiCam Explore does this: it records every moment of the drive in Full HD 1080P, capturing crystal clear footage that gives GPS location and a 3-Axis G-Sensor that records direction and speed of impact. It includes the option for spoken and visual navigation – with complete sets of maps for Australia and New Zealand, as well as 140,000 kms of 4WD tracks and points of interest as recommended by Hardie Grant and HEMA maps pre-installed.
Resist temptation to reach for the phone

To help drivers avoid the temptation to touch their phone, Navman has designed the ability to Bluetooth the phone to the MiCam Explore so they can make and take calls legally. Drivers can also opt to have incoming messages read out loud to them, when it is safe which is a feature found only on luxury cars.
Built for Australian and NZ conditions

Navman has been building products for Australian and New Zealand conditions for around two decades and so every product is tested to a range of extreme temperatures from below freezing conditions to over 70° C heat. It also uses high quality components and materials in its manufacturing plants including a glass lens for the dash camera – rather than inferior plastic used in some competitor models – which has a field of view of 140°, and records at 30fps, it has a 4-layer glass lens with a 5th layer of infra-red together with a premium STARVIS™ sensor to give it crisp night-time vision.
