Happy New Year!!
I rarely do a “review” on years gone by. I am one to cherish moments, not years or months. But if there was ever a year that’s been graciously kind and gentle to me, 2012 is in the running for that title.
So I think it’s befitting I did a sort of “tribute” to the fabulous year that’s gone by.
January
New Years Eve of last year. So almost a year ago today. We celebrated New Years Eve at our friends’ place in North Sydney. In my 3 New Years Eve celebrations in Sydney, this has got to be one of the best. Good times, good friends, good fireworks. I was excited for the next 12 months to roll out.
February
The shortest month of the year certainly was the busiest!
March
My birthday month saw me turning a year older. My favourite aunt came to Sydney for a visit, we went to Hunter Valley and indulged in wine and cheese.
March was also Sexpo Month and I had fun 🙂
April
April was very very chill. The most remarkable thing I accomplished this month was reading The Hunger Games trilogy in like a week. I spent this time mostly planning for our upcoming big vacation too.
May
Finally a certified open water diver! Got my license from Coogee Pro Dive. Woo Hoo!!!!
June
We took the very long drive from Sydney to Old Bar, NSW, stayed at Meridian Beach Resort, did some chillaxing in the cold weather, fished, and watched horror movies.

onboard the Etihad Yacht, celebrated my sister’s birthday and most of all, prepared to leave for our wonderful holiday!
September
THE month I’d been waiting for! We began our Northwest USA road trip in Seattle, had one hell of a time doing that! Then rode horses in Idaho, marvelled at wildlife in Yellowstone, enjoyed whitewater rafting in Utah–just among the tons of activities we did.
Through work, I was also flown to Abu Dhabi and London by Etihad Airways. I could not get enough of this month! After that, I flew to LA to spend time with my extended family. This was also a sad time because my aunt from LA passed away, I was hoping to see her in this trip.
October
This is what dreams are made of. 2 weeks in French Polynesia–Tahiti, Moorea and Bora-Bora. Soaked up the sun, snorkelled every single day, scuba dived and saw giant Manta Rays and Grey Nurse sharks, made friends with some of the most genuine people we’ve known—I did NOT want to leave French Polynesia 🙁 (i haven’t done posts on this yet…getting there, getting there!)

Got to chillax abit for this month. Caught up on my reading and writing blog posts. My husband turned a year older, we spent it quietly eating out. We needed to recharge abit 🙂

Whew!!!
2012– thank you for the all highs and lows , and amazing opportunities you’ve given me over the last 12 months. I definitely enjoyed the ride. I cannot wait to see what 2013 brings!!!!
