Jungle Adventure in Tankah, Mexico

After driving the 4WD for a bit, we soon reached a very pristine clearing

not just a clearing mind you but a lake with wide open spaces.
have any idea what’s the most perfect thing to do?
If you think like me, jumping into the lake would just be second best.
The very best thing to do is this:
Grab a wooden brake (love how ancient this device is), strap on a tight harness..
and off I go!!!
and go…
So see that yellow bit waiting for me at the end of the line?
It was our next transport to our next stop. It’s not as amazing race-like as it looks. We did this at a very leisurely pace.
we paddled until we reached an area where it was relatively safe to swim…
and jump
the water was just amazingly refreshing! cold freshwater. It was a treat after a long and dusty day
watch all that in action here:

We recently returned from a wonderful vacation to the Yucatan Peninsula and had a lovely
afternoon and lunch at Tankah. We were just a small group of six and with no one else around.
Was so peaceful and relaxing to be out there on our own. Looking forward to returning one day soon!
